Weddings: Frequently Asked Questions

What wedding packages do you offer and what’s included in each?

What can we expect on our wedding day – what is your photography style and how do you work?
Scotland has a way of making weddings feel really effortlessly cinematic – dramatic skies, vast landscapes, ancient architecture. My job is to document all of it without getting in the way of your experience of it. I stay unobtrusive throughout the day, stepping in when needed and disappearing when not, so the day feels like yours rather than a photoshoot. I always encourage couples to carve out at least 30 minutes for portraits – in Scotland especially, that golden hour in a Highland glen or on a coastal headland is worth protecting in your timeline.

How many photos will we receive in our final wedding gallery and in what format?
All your photos are delivered via a private online gallery, downloadable an unlimited number of times over 12 months. Half and Full Day bookings include the choice of social media or high resolution files – high resolution is what you want for printing, particularly for the kind of large landscape prints that Scottish wedding photography tends to inspire. Ceremony packages include social media resolution, with high resolution available to add for £100.

Do you photograph same-sex/LGBTQ+/non-traditional weddings?

What if our wedding plans change (date/venue/guest numbers)?
Generally not a problem, as long as I can accommodate the new date. Scottish venues in particular can sometimes shift – estates change their availability, outdoor ceremonies get moved indoors – and I’m used to adapting. If your venue changes significantly in terms of location, travel costs may need revisiting, but I’ll always be transparent about that. Guest numbers fluctuating is fine unless you’re suddenly looking at a much larger celebration, in which case it’s worth having a conversation with me about a second shooter.
