I typically provide between 50-100 images per hour of shooting, but this will be dependent on the event. Events with less activity, or a smaller number of people, will of course yield fewer photographs. However I am a very proactive shooter, and I’ll be on the lookout for all the contextual shots and intricate details that made the event unique.
Yes – commercial licensing rights are included in my quotes. What is important to note, is that I do not transfer image ownership – but this does not impact your ability to monetise, market, and use the images commercially, as I grant the commercial licensing rights.
Rescheduling: At the end of the day, I prioritise client satisfaction – if you have had to reschedule what is likely a major event, I know it won’t have been a decision taken lightly. I am flexible with rescheduling (depending on my availability) up to 7 days before the event. Any closer to the event than 7 days, and a £200 cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs and loss of business due to the date having been held for your booking. I will however refund the rest of the payment.
Short answer, yes! I am happy to drive up to 2 hours from KY16 St Andrews or EH9 Edinburgh for single day commissions. Beyond that, mileage and travel expenses will apply. Ultimately I am focused on ensuring that I am where you need me, when you need me – so I won’t hesitate to book a hotel to ensure I’m on location in plenty of time for the commission to begin.
Definitely – this is probably about 40% of the job really! I am an open book, so please feel free to approach me to query design elements or session structure. I have been attending and covering events and conferences year in and year out for coming up 8 years, and I’m just as happy to consult on the logistics too from a supplier or attendee point of view.
Absolutely – and this is a regular request from cleints. I understand the importance of brand identities and colours, and nothing is more important when I plan and create your images than ensuring that the delivered product closely matches your identity and ultimately has the greatest number of uses possible for you in your portfolio.
